Honest caveat: this hub page is a navigation index — it points you to the right detailed guides for flights, food, travel, and lifestyle. The reviews and decisions in each linked article reflect my testing as of 2026; some specific deals (clearance fares, restaurant promo codes) shift faster than I can update. Use this hub to find the framework you need; treat the linked articles as the active references that get re-verified before booking.
Why I built this Lazy Guide hub differently from generic travel hubs: I tracked my own search behavior over 6 months and noticed I was bouncing between 8-12 different bookmarked links on every trip — flight cheatsheet, food map, accommodation guide, miles redemption math. The friction was real: 5-10 minutes lost finding “where I’d put that note about Korean LCC tax refunds” each time. I built this hub as the index I wished I had. The framework: instead of duplicating content across articles, this page links to the canonical guide for each topic and tags them by trip type. The structural fix that makes a hub useful (vs. another duplicate page): each link must lead to a guide that’s actively maintained, not a 2023 article that’s never been verified since.

Quick note: some links here are affiliate links — I get a small cut if you book through them, at no extra cost to you. I’ve also included options with no commission where they’re genuinely useful. Everything’s based on my own research.

⚠️ Who shouldn’t use this Lazy Guide as a primary travel resource
1. First-time international travelers needing structured walkthrough. This hub assumes basic travel literacy — it’s organized by topic (flights / food / hotels) rather than chronologically (pre-trip / during / post). For first-time travelers, a chronological 30-day countdown checklist is more useful than a topic index. Better fit: book a guided package for the first international trip; use this hub from year 2 onwards.
2. Travelers focused on destinations not covered (most of Europe, Africa, South America). The Rational Travel coverage skews heavily Asia (Japan, Korea, Bali, Thailand) plus selective Australia / North America. If you’re planning a Europe trip, this hub helps with flights and miles but most destination guides won’t apply. Better fit: combine this hub for general booking math with destination-specific resources elsewhere.
3. Travelers who prefer comprehensive single-article guides over topic-fragmented links. Hub-and-spoke information architecture (this format) requires clicking through to the linked guide for details. If you’d rather have a single “everything about Japan” 15,000-word document, the hub will feel scattered. Better fit: search for the comprehensive single-destination guides (e.g. “Rational Travel Japan Complete 2026”).
