Honest talk! Vietnam Airlines’ price cut this time is absolutely crazy. Taipei-Ho Chi Minh 6508 TWD early departure late return, 23kg checked baggage is enough for me to stock up on souvenirs, and 12kg carry-on fits coffee perfectly. Post-Dragon Boat Festival on weekdays with OTA round-trip approaching 6K, the most aggressive price in recent years, applicable during summer vacation and Mid-Autumn Festival too, amazing value. Kaohsiung-Ho Chi Minh is 1.2K more expensive than Taipei, and 2K more than Hanoi. I’m prepared to grab May tickets to fly to Hanoi for bánh mì and explore the old town, then fly to Ho Chi Minh in October for drip coffee. I can’t sleep at night if I don’t grab these ticket prices.
